During
the time referred to as "golden fifties", August Schrader and
Friedrich Klemme started to manufacture moulds for the rapidly growing
container glass industry. From the beginning Schrader offered an outstanding
combination of quality products delivered on time. Before long a satisfied
clientele grew. As early as 1959 the first manufacturing facility was
built.
In
1972 Dieter Schrader, a mechanical engineer, joined the company. Horst
Schrader, his econimist brother, followed in 1979. The company welcomed
the second generation and soon the two "juniors" invested in the new CNC
technology. Within a short time the company developed into a high-technology
enterprise.
Since 1984 Schrader have established a separate centre to train their
young employees. In 1994 a specialised machines division was added. This
facility designs and builds CNC machines for a range of in - house purposes.
In addition specific CNC machines are built for the container industry
such as the "Volume Master" which measures mould volume.
Initially Schrader served the German speaking markets in Europe. In 1988 an
association was formed with Wasmuth Partner Engineering (WPE).
In addition to providing export marketing Wasmuth Partner Engineering design mould
equipment and provide froming assistance for all known forming processes.
